Caleb + Jessica – Beautiful Family Homestead Wedding

My latest update is the beautiful wedding of Caleb + Jessica, a really fun and loving couple who decided Caleb’s grandparents farm would be the perfect spot to tie the knot ! Very close to town it was like stepping back in time with all the buildings surrounding the place and it was a beautiful place and it held special meaning to this awesome couple.

I started off the morning with the boys who were great fun, full of laughs and had a few ideas for photos of their own, my next stop was to the girls getting ready and within 5 mins of being there I knew we were going to be in for a fun day with this group !!

Thanks so much for having me as your photographer guys, I shall be in touch very soon but in the meantime here are a few photos to get you excited for the rest…. enjoy!

Nick + Emma – Alex @ Chris Young Photography.

A few weeks ago I was lucky enough to capture Nick and Emma’s wedding. When I caught up with them the week leading up to their big day I knew it would be a pretty special one and it didn’t disappoint! Chris and I also photographed Nicks brothers wedding last season, its always awesome working with couples that you have met at previous weddings. Guess we did a good job the first time around!

Nick and Emma chose Low Head as the location for their wedding. With both sides of their families having strong ties to the area, and in fact it was at low head that they first met!

We were blessed with a comfortable sunny day which started off with Nick and his boys playing some golf, activities like this are an awesome way to start the day, gives me a good chance to get to know all the boys and everyone have a bit of a laugh about their lack of golf skills, or maybe it was just the wind.. I then went and caught up with the girls who were well into the long and exciting process that is hair & make up on wedding mornings. Emma and her girls got ready at her parents shack just a few hundred meters from what would be their ceremony location, the light house at Low Head. It was also at this point in the day that I met their beautiful Golden Retriever, Wally, which as anyone that knows me could tell you was a huge distraction for me, haha! Wally also wondered around the ceremony at the light house, going to all the wedding guests for pats & love and even visiting his owners to say hello a few times during the ceremony which was pretty cute!

The Light House at Low Head offers many beautiful backdrops for photos. Its one of my favourite locations to shoot for sure. We got some great photos here and moved on to another location just down the road on the golf course, this was also the location of their reception. I should also mention that Nicks father, John, had been kind enough to lend 6 of his beautiful cars for their day, the collection also included an e-type jaguar which is one of the most beautiful and most respected cars ever built.

Nick and Emma had probably the most incredible marquee set up that I have ever seen. With a very unique clear marquee taking full advantage of the ocean side views that are significant to the couple. With a huge amount of light inside showing their beautiful decorations. One of the advantages of a marquee is that you can determine when the celebration ends. The couple didn’t want to be limited to a 11:30pm finish and encouraged their guests to celebrate their wedding into the early hours of sunday!

A huge thanks for having me along to capture your day guys, it was really enjoyable for me and we captured some photos that I really love and am proud of. I wish you all the best for your future together!

Alex.

Russel + Jessica – Stunning Brickendon Wedding

I met this beautiful couple a fair while ago and I immediately hit it off with them, they are a really down to earth, loving couple full of laughs so I couldn’t wait for their big day last weekend as I knew it was going to be a fun day and that it most certainly was.

Russell you could not get along with, a real lad but a very caring and loving guy especially towards his beautiful bride Jess ! Jess is a really down to earth girl who loves her man and once again you could not immediately hit it off with.

It was a really hot day (34 degrees I think), but thankfully the venue this couple chose was perfect for the hot day, Brickendon at Longford with it’s vast shady areas made the day much more comfortable which I am sure the boys with their suits appreciated greatly ! The reception was held at the ever popular “Happy Chef” and the day was magical, full of laughs and a really relaxed vibe which is exactly what this couple had in mind !

Congratulations guys, until we next catch up here are some images from your special day….enjoy !

Jacob + Alanna – Bridport Wedding

Last weekend I had the pleasure of photographing Jacob + Alanna’s big day – a super cute couple full of fun and enjoyment for the great outdoors !

It’s so nice to be in a different location for a change, this couple’s day was all held in Bridport – one of my favourite spots in Tassie! Beautiful day guys, you created and succeeded in having your perfect day!

Congratulations guys, until we next catch up here are a few of the shots we captured from your big day, enjoy….

admin - Hey Emma, it was in Bridport right up on top of the hill looking out towards the water – I can’t remember the name of it but if you head to the very top of the hill (there are not too many roads) you will find it. Cheers Chris

Nathan + Megan – Freshwater Point Homestead

So Christmas is quickly approaching and nothing has slowed down at all, still lots and lots of weddings and other work in the rush to get everything done before Christmas Day!

Last weekend was the wedding of Nathan + Megan held at the always stunning Freshwater Point Homestead in Legana and the weather really put a perfect one on for us ! I started off the day with the boys participating in their favourite activity “Clay Target Shooting” which was a great and even loud way to start and then moved on to the quietness of the girls running around getting ready.

Beautiful decorations by Event Avenue really set the scene to make this the perfect day for Nathan + Megan to say “I do”

Congratulations guys I hope you had a fantastic night and until we next catch up here are a few shots from your special day….enjoy!
